Post Cards From The Holy Land
An Easter Pilgrimage By Local
Hopkins County Residents

Hopkins County residents take a break in the Dead Sea.
On Wednesday, March 11, 2009, a group of local Methodists embarked on a journey to the Holy Land, arriving in Tel Aviv on March 12th. Their itinerary includes a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, the cities of Capernaum, Tabgha, the Primacy Chapel, Mount of Beatitudes, Chorazim, Yardenit Baptismal site, Sepphoris, Cana, Nazareth, Basilica of Annunciation, and the Nazareth Village, and that's all in the first two days.

"This trip to the Holy Land was a once in a lifetime pilgrimage. It was
a confirmation of all the things that you've read in the Bible and now, when
you read a passage, the actual place comes to mind and you can put
perspective with the scripture!"
Polly Swatsell
"To know that you actually walked in the same places that Jesus
did, puts a different light on the scriptures. It connects to make
you aware of what a wonderful book the Bible really is!"
