held in the Hopkins County Civic Center Exhibit Hall.

 

 

Honors Breakfast Recognizes Top Grads
at SSHS, Thursday Morning

The top grads invited their parents and their favorite teacher to Thursday morning's breakfast.

 

It was a morning of celebration and accomplishment for the top graduates of the Class of 2012 at SSHS, as the traditional Honors Breakfast was hosted in the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center. The top twenty-four graduates of the class were recognized, presented with their gold cords for graduation, and each of them presented their favorite teacher, as their parents were introduced.

"This is truly a great group of students, who are destined to make their mark on this word!" declared Principal Charles Alderman, as he served as toastmaster for the event. "We have students aspiring to be doctors, researchers, business professionals, and host of other careers, and with their talent, work ethic, and willingness to learn, they're destined to reach their goals."

The top twenty-four seniors of the Class of 2012 are: Angel Tovar-Yanez, Kirstie Wallace, Ariana Bravo, Alex Buchanan, Gracie Cable, Colby Carter, Kaitlyn Chapman, Katie Cooper, Katherine Dougan, Alissa Doughtie, Allissa Figueroa, Kristopher Ford, Sarah Forsman, Adam Hall, Justin Johnson, Marissa Kelty, Daniel Kade Koon, Arron Pierce, Dara Ramos, Diana Sanchez, Rebecca Sehnert, Kalan Stewart, Ayana Taylor, and Ashleigh Wallace (In no particular order).

More than a few tears were shed across the room as the program ended with the playing of "Goodnight Kiss," by Steve and Annie Chapman.
