Kinky Friedman comes to Sulphur Springs!!

 

Kinky Friedman, along with Jesse Dayton, will grace the outdoor stage on the newly renovated Courthouse Square, near the memorial wall, in downtown Sulphur Springs on Friday, March 1, 2013 @ 7:30 PM. This event will be FREE to the public, and Sulphur Springs' way of welcoming all who venture downtown to check out all the improvements, including the uniquely designed restroom facilities that a person can see out of, but that you can't see in--right on the square! Also, Hopkins County Veteran's Memorial will be the background for the stage!

 

 

 

Kinky & Jesse will share the stage and perform together for this special concert, so come early and check out the many new downtown businesses that have either already opened, or are in the renovation stages. Some great spots to grab a meal, cocktail or glass of wine before & during the show. Rumor has it that Kinky will be promoting HIS OWN BRAND of tequila, along with his OWN songs, a book he wrote, and plenty of stories to tell!

This event kicks off March in a BIG WAY! As you can see by the above banner, the following week will showcase Downtown Sulphur Springs with 30-EAST Music Festival--a three-day event featuring more than 20 different musical performances from Indie artists [both local talent, and those passing through on their way to the South by Southwest Festival in Austin.
