Lady Cats Lose Close One
To Lady Tigers

The Sulphur Springs Lady Wildcats hosted the Mt. Pleasant Lady Tigers on Friday night and lost a close match to drop to 2-1 in district competition.

The Lady Cats lead most of the game, only to see victory slip away from them in the last quarter of play, as they suffered a 40-37 loss.

 

 

 

An explosive 2nd quarter for the Lady Cats put them out on top and neither team scored during the third period, but it was a 16-6 deficit for the Lady Cats that saw the victory slip away.

 

 

 

 

Game stats are as follows:

Sulphur Springs     6   25  0    6  = 37

Mt. Pleasant           8   16   0  16  = 40

 

Sulphur Springs Scoring:   K Moore 4; Debase 8; Mosley 15; Person 2; C Moore 2; Wade 6.

The Lady Cats are now 2-1 in District play and drop behind Mt. Pleasant in the standings.
