County Commissioner Precinct #3, Don Patterson, visits with State Representative Mark Home,
at Tuesday night's Law Enforcement Forum.
It was at a 6:00 p.m. meeting in the Hopkins County Ag Workers Building, in Buford Park, on Tuesday night, that Local Law Enforcement Officers had the opportunity to ask questions of local candidates for political offices, as they conducted a forum for the hopefuls. Lewis Tatum, President of the Hopkins County Law Enforcement Association served as the moderator during the forum and individual law enforcement personnel were able to ask questions of the candidates and acertain their positions on the workings of the law enforcement in Hopkins County.
"It's just a great opportunity for us to find out where candidates stand and what we can expect if they are elected to office," advised Tatum, as he began Tuesday night's meeting. "Everyone has a 'stake' in the local law enforcement and it makes for a much better understanding for our community, when we know the ideals and positions of the candidates, before the March primary!"

Candidates were each given the opportunity to speak to the local group and then fielded questions from individual officers, as they conducted a question and answer period.
