Bob & Sherry Lindley Make
$10,000.00 Donation to Veterans' Memorial
In Memory of Local Relatives

It was a pleasant surprise for members of the Veterans' Memorial Committee, on Wednesday afternoon, when Bob Lindley and his wife, Sherry, came to Sulphur Springs, and made a $10,000.00 donation to the completion and maintenance of the Hopkins County Veterans' Memorial. Bob, the son of A.W. and Bennie Ross Lindley, was a resident of Sulphur Springs, back in the 1960's, when his parents owned Lindley Photography. Following his father's death, the Lindley family moved away, but have many relatives still in Hopkins County.

Lindley and his wife, Sherry, made the donation in memory of his father, A.W. Lindley, his grandfather, Clovis Houston Ross, his uncle, Gerald Brian Ross, and his great-uncle, C.N. "Sandy" Vanderslice.

On a "side note," you can thank Bob's father, A.W. Lindley, every time you sing the Sulphur Springs High School Alma Mater, as he wrote the song for Sulphur Springs High School, when he was a coach at the local high school.

Now living in Magnolia, Texas, Bob and Sherry Lindley are pefect examples of the "far reaching" tribute of the Hopkins County Veterans' Memorial, that impacts people from all over the world, when their loved ones once lived in Hopkins County, their history is here, and they want to continue to support the efforts of this tribute.

Thank You, Bob & Sherry,
For Your Generous Support!!!
