Local Brahman Breeder to Be Honored
Posthumously at Houston Stock Show

Local agriculturalist, educator, and Brahman cattle breeder, Billy Dan Lindley, who passed away on December 17, 2012, will be honored at this year's Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo National Brahman Show. Lindley, who had bred, raised, and shown registered Brahman cattle for close to 50 years with his family, contributed to the local, state, and national Brahman Associations, serving as President and on numerous committees of the Texas Brahman Association, and represented Texas on the national level.
Lindley bred cattle have won numerous championships and awards across the state of Texas and nationally. Lindley was known for his support of Junior Brahman programs, supporting FFA and 4-H students, who wanted to exhibit Brahman cattle.

 



This year's National Brahman Show, hosted at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, will be dedicated to Billy Dan Lindley and his many contributions to the breed and its supporting organizations.


Members of the Lindley family will be attending to witness the tribute to Billy Dan and his cattle.
