Cumby's Lou Ann Petty Nominated
For Texas Music Academy's
Female Vocalist of the Year
Lou Ann Petty of Cumby has been nominated for "Female Vocalist of the Year" by the Academy of Texas Music.
Heart-felt lyrics, melodies that can soothe, inspire, rock or make you laugh – mix these together with crystal clear vocals, and the backing of a Grammy Award-winning producer, and you have the recipe for Lou Ann Petty’s latest smash album, “I’m Falling.”
Co-produced with Brad Davis, "The Shredder”, Grammy Award-winning guitarist, singer/songwriter, and music industry professional, Lou Ann’s latest offering is a sure hit. Brad’s soaring guitar influence, studio production experience, and perfectly matched vocal harmonies make this a stand-out album in any genre.
Lou Ann is represented by Blanchard Management Group (BMG) of Nashville, TN, and recently signed with Music Entertainment Records, also of Nashville. Along with Brad Davis, her other BMG roster mates include Lane Brody, Oscar-nominated singer/songwriter, and Country Legend, Lynn Anderson.

Early influences include Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, and her all-time favorite, Dolly Parton. Lou Ann considers one of her greatest accomplishments to be that of portraying country music legend Patsy Cline in the Texas A&M University-Commerce performance of "Always...Patsy Cline."
Lou Ann has spent a lifetime on the stage, and is comfortable being out in front. She has been in bands, ensembles, and acting roles from an early age, and is currently working on new stage shows with an acoustic duo, and a five-piece band.
While Lou Ann's roots are based in country and folk, she has broad range of musical tastes and abilities. “If I like a song, it makes no difference to me what you call it - there are no boundaries when it comes to music."
Lou Ann and her band, Luck of the Draw, will be performing at the Texas Music Awards in the Texas Music Barn at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 24th in Linden, TX. Band members include Johnny Petty, Don Higginbotham, and Jack Trentham all of Cumby, and Joe Harrison of Greenville.
