The Creative Spirit
Performed at Main Street Theater
by: Bobby McDonald
They're short "slices" of life! Five Main Street Theater members have honed their talents at playwriting and produced eleven short, one-act plays that are sure to "strike a chord" with the audience, as they bring ordinary life in Hopkins County, to the stage. It's the results of The Creative Spirit Workshop on playwriting and directing, where members of Main Street Theater developed their talents in producing short offerings for the stage.
Titles of the work include: Two Old Soldiers, The Cell Phone, The Date, Missed Opportunities, Upside Down, The Future is Calling, Daddy's Little Girl, Flu Season, No One Liners, The Evacuation, and Pancakes and Pajamas.
You're certain to be entertained and who knows, might even find yourself, on stage, in one of the characters! And, I know you will be impressed by the local talent that is displayed from our very own friends and neighbors, as they write, direct, and adapt ordinary episodes from life to the stage!
Performances are at 7:00 p.m. on June 1st and 2nd, at Main Street Theater.
