Swinson and McQueen Show Champions
in Market Lamb Show

A large crowd of volunteers and spectators made their way to the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center
Arena, on Thursday afternoon, as the 2013 NETLA Youth Market Show began, with the Market Lamb
Show, that began with judging at 5:00 p.m.

 

The 2013 NETLA Youth Market Show got underway on Thursday afternoon, as lamb and goat exhibitors began arriving for weigh-ins and the Market Lamb Show began with judging at 5:00 p.m. Youth exhibitors paraded their animals before the judge, first in showmanship classes and then in four individual classes, according to weight.

 

 

The Championship Drive in the 2013 Market Lamb Show.

Taking top honors in the 2013 show were two Sulphur Springs FFA members, Taylor Swinson and Bryce McQueen, who were named Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion, respectively, in the Championship drive that unfolded at approximately 7:00 p.m. Swinson's Grand Champion Lamb weighed-in at 146 pounds and was the top animal from the class three, while McQueen's Reserve Grand Champion Lamb came to the drive as the 136 pound winner of the class two lambs.
