Market Moves to Downtown Square and
Evening Hours on Saturday

If you've been a frequent visitor to the Main Street Market, on Saturday mornings, don't make plans to come this Saturday morning. Beginning this week, the Market will make its debut on the downtown square and the hours will be changing to 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. And, to celebrate the move, a number of entertainment venues will be featured on the downtown square, this Saturday night, including a "Western shoot-out," that features The Legends, a reenactment group from nearby Winnsboro. Additional entertainment will be folk music and "open mike" karaoke.

And, of course the fountain will be open for the kids to enjoy, as well as balloons.

Downtown area restaurants are making plans to stay open and provide dining opportunities, as well as food vendors will be selling items from their booths.

"This will be the perfect opportunity to come down with the family, enjoy a night of celebration on the downtown square, when it isn't quite as crowded as it was on the night of Independence Day celebration, visit with your neighbors, shop, and celebrate summertime in the newly designed downtown area," expressed organizers. "We want this to become a tradition in Sulphur Springs."

The Market will continue evening schedules on Saturdays, for the season, with hope for cooler temperatures and more vendors from areas that have morning markets. Local organizers plan a variety of events in conjunction with the market to attract more and more people to the downtown area to enjoy the many opportunities afforded.
