One-Year Anniversary of Missing Woman's
Disappearance Marked Sunday

Sunday, June 10th, marked the one-year anniversary of the disappearane of Melissa McVay Darling, a young mother of two, from Sulphur Springs. McVay left her youngest daughter with the child's father, on June 9, 2011, and was last seen on a surveillance camera at 1:30 a.m., June 10, 2011, in a Grant, Oklahoma, Casino. Days later, her vehicle was found near a Lake in Oklahoma, "trashed," but no one has had contact with the woman, since.

"We're still working on the case with both Lamar County, Texas and Oklahoma authorities," advised Sgt. David Gilmore, in a Monday morning, telephone interview. "We still have a person of interest in the case, and continue to work all leads and collect evidence, but we have not located the young woman!"
Meanwhile, family and friends continue to morn her loss, and ask that anyone that has any information regarding the case, to please contact the Sulphur Springs Police Department.
"She has two little girls that are without a mother!" related one family member.
