Members of the Mother's Culture Club returned over $14,000.00 to local organizations at their
monthly meeting, on Thursday night.

Thursday night was the 2012 distribution social for Mother's Culture Club. They gave away over $14,000 to local charities and organizations, at Lou Viney at 6:30 p.m., to representatives of the organizations.

The group of 35 moms worked hard this year to earn the money. They published and sold a new MCC cookbook, had a bake sale, Father-Daughter dance and participated in the Turkey Trot just to name a few things, the organization has been involved in to raise the funds.

 

Mother's Club Dairy Festival Candidate, Molly Millsap, spoke to the group and told them about
her many activities at SSHS.

 

 

 

 

Recipients of the funds were: CASA, Backpack Buddies, Boys & Girls Club, Chrysalis House, Micah Reed, Heart of Hope, Project Graduation, Banquet Beautiful, First United Methodist Church, Shadow Ranch, Camp Braveheart, and families in need.

The Mother's Club is also Sponsoring Molly Millsap for Dairy Festival and rewarding Ayanna Taylor a $1000 scholarship.

 

Ayanna Taylor received this year's Mother's Club Scholarship.
