"Talkin' on the radio!"
If you haven't seen local pilot, Weldon DeWitt, this week, you'll be happy to know that he has a new "co-pilot," as of Tuesday. Weldon flew to Muleshoe, Texas, and picked-up his wife, Jana, and granddaughter, Landri Lawrence. They left on Tuesday morning, with four-year-old Landri as his co-pilot, on her debute plane ride with him. They landed at the Sulphur Springs Municipal Airport, on Tuesday, at 12:45 p.m.
When asked if she enjoyed the flight, Landri expressed, "Yes, and I want to do it again! It was fun and I got to talk in the radio, too!"
Meanwhile, Landri began to "hedge" when asked if she would be flying the plane back to Muleshoe, by herself. "That may be a while!" denoted Landri.

And, when asked if her little brother, Sam, had "ridden on the wing," she replied, "No, he stayed home with my Mom and Dad!"
It was off to eat pizza and to be "spoiled" by family and friends, following her debute flight, as Landri spends a few days here in Hopkins County!
"My 'Mimi' is coming to Sulphur Springs on Saturday, but she's driving her car!" informed Landri, as she moved on to her next stop!
