At SSISD, Friday Morning

Jason Dietze, President of the SSISD School Board, welcomed new teachers and staff.

Approximately 45 new teachers and administrators were welcomed to Sulphur Springs ISD, on Friday morning, at the New Teach Orientation, sponsored by Alliance Bank, City National Bank, Guaranty Bond Bank, Pilgrim Bank, and Texas Heritage National Bank. One of the official signals that the school year is beginning, resulted in a welcome address by both New Superintendent, Mike Lamb, and SSISD Board President, Jason Dietze.

Key personnel in the school administration were introduced, as well as each campus principal introducing their new employees. Lamb in a light and casual way, joked with his fellow administrators and told the new teachers of the many, many positives that he'd learned about Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County, since he began in his position on May 1, 2012. "I'm one of you and new to the district!" expressed Lamb. "But, I want you to know that this is one of the most positive communities, with one of the most dedicated Board of Educations, that is pro-active in all areas of education!"

Lamb encouraged the new teachers to become involved in the community and "take the tour" of the great school facilities, the new Downtown Square, and numerous other active things in this community.

Lamb also reminded everyone of the Ribbon Cutting for the New SSISD Middle School, next Thursday.

"Doors" for the teachers in SSISD open on Monday morning, as they begin in-service training!
