The North Hopkins Panthers turned the tables on the CHESS Knights avenging an earlier six point loss with a 55-49 homecoming victory Friday night. The Panthers came back from a 28-20 halftime deficit with a punishing defensive effort in the second half. "Our defense came together in the second half and we really played well," Coach Clay Pirtle said. "We have been improving each game and are looking forward to the district race." The Panthers had three players in double figures. Silas Whaley hit for 14 with seven crucial points in the fourth quarter. River Milam added 11 and Terance Berry 10.

The Panthers travel to Martins Mill Tuesday to finish off pre-season before opening district play at home against Cumby Thursday January 12.
