A 90th Birthday Party, hosted on Sunday, January 8th, 2012, in Chandler, Texas, honored Mrs. Oleta Coppedge McDonald, a native of Hopkins County. Oleta was born and reared in the Shooks Chapel Community of Hopkins County, where she attended school. She married Neil McDonald, of Reilly Springs, and they made their home in a number of places throughout the years, including Houston, Corpus Christi, Troup, and Chandler.

Sunday's party was hosted by Oleta's three children, Danny McDonald, of Texas City, Michael McDonald of Jacksonville, and Debbie Cade of Chandler, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The party was attended by approximately 75 family members and friends.

 

Those attending from Sulphur Springs included: Christine Snow, Joyce McDonald, Judy Jones, and Bobby McDonald.
