This page is dedicated to the many hard working parents who at one time or another may need a little bit of encouragement, information, or advice from a third party. My name is Dana, I am a single mom of two wonderful children and have an associates degree in child development. My wish for this page, is to possibly be a small help to as many parents as possible. Being the best parent you can be, is in my opinion, the most important "job" in the world. Always remember that a child is a "precious gift" from God and they are, our future. If you have any questions, crafts, encouraging stories, and, or opinions on this page that you would like to have posted you can e-mail me at parenting@frontporchnewstexas.com.

Craft of the Week: Felt Lined Jewelry boxes
Supplies:
Felt (different colors)
Spray Paint (different colors)
Glue
Foam Die Cuts
Altoid box
This project is fun to do with your child so that he or she may give them as Christmas presents. First of all you and your child can pick the colors you want your box and felt to be. You then spray paint the box, inside and out, with the color you want it to be. Once it dries you cut your felt to fit inside the box and glue it in. You then apply the foam die cuts to decorate the outside of the box. When all is finished you have a gift you can give to teachers or grandmas.
