Parkinson's Disease Walk
by: Keely Moore
Saturday morning on April 21st was a lovely day for the Sulphur Springs Parkinson’s volunteer support group’s mini walk. Rachel Harris, group founder and facilitator, and husband Nate had both worked with Parkinson patients and felt that they needed to help try and stop this disease. This group is the first support group to have a mini walk. Their goal for today was 500$, and they met that mark. All donations support Parkinson’s disease research projects approved by the APDA Scientific Advisory Board. The group has a Parkinson disease support group meeting every third Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm on 1414 College St. is Sulphur Springs.
If you would like to make a donation to this group you visit www.etapda.org, the online donation deadline is May 11th.
