Pasta Carbonara

Are you looking for something relatively simple to feed your family for dinner? Are you looking for something that is "fancy" enough to serve at your next dinner party? Well, why not try the delicious flavor of carbonara? Carbonara sauce is typically made from bacon, cheese, eggs, cream, and black pepper.

Try the following recipe:

Pasta Carbonara

1 pound of your favorite pasta (spaghetti, penne, bowtie, etc.)

8 slices of thick cut bacon

freshly ground pepper

3 large eggs

3/4 cups grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup half & half

salt to taste

Prepare a large pot of water and bring to a boil.

In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat, until
crisp. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.

Salt the boiling water generously and add some of the
bacon grease to the water to flavor. Add the pasta and

cook until al dente.

In a mixing bowl, mix together eggs, Parmesan cheese,
and half & half.

Drain the pasta, leaving a little of the water clinging to it,
and quickly add the hot pasta to the egg mixture. Crumble

the bacon and season with salt and pepper, tossing to coat

the pasta well.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

Great served with garlic bread and your favorite salad!
