Wendy Williams of Legacy Ag Credit was serenaded with "Happy Birthday" by the
PBF Bullfighters.

A reception was hosted in the Exhibit Hall of the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, on Thursday night, at 7:00 p.m., to highlight the local sponsors of this year's Greenville Chrysler Black Gold Challenge, that will open in the Civic Center Areana, Friday night at 7:30 p.m., for some of the roughest and toughest bull riding action around.

"We just wanted to recognize the many, many local sponsor who help to bring this event to Hopkins County each year," advised Jim McLain, with Two Bulls Group, promotional arm of the event. "We want to say thank you and show our support for their efforts in bringing bull riding and bullfighting action to Hopkins County, and we wanted to honor the breeders of these top three-year old bulls in the nation, that have been brought in for this outstanding venue!"

Local auctioneer, Tanner Ragan, conducted the Calcutta round for both the bulls and the
bullfighters, to add interest to the performances.

"And, if one begins to wonder about the economic impact of this event for Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County, all you have to do is look at the license plates in the parking lot!" advised Pansy Bell, director of the Hopkins County Civic Center. "There are people from Kansas, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Iowa, Ohio, North Dakota, Missouri, Colorado, Louisiana, North Carolina, Canada, and South Dakota, in this room, and they are staying in our motels and hotels, eating at our restaurants, and visiting with the many, many visitors from all across the state of Texas, involved in this event!"
