Crowd Jams Civic Center For
First Night of PBR Action

 

"Top Cowboys, Top Bulls, and
Top Bullfighters!!!

It was a "lusty" crowd who jammed the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, on Friday night, for the first night of the Lone Star Dodge Colby Yates Enterprise Challenge. And the action continued before the capacity crowd, as top bull riders challenged some of the rankest young bulls on the rodeo circuit.  Five teams of the top bullfighters in the nation, were on hand to protect the cowboys and to conduct their own competition, to score points in the standings.

In what began with a prayer for the safety of both the participants and the animals and continued with the singing of the national anthem and a "smoke filled" introduction of the cowboys, ended with one rider scoring 91 points and the Team Lone Star Dodge bullfighters in the lead.

     3)Clayton Beathge, Johnson City, Texas, Rob Bell, Houston, BC, and JOsh Koschel, Greely, Colorado

                         all 88.5 pts.

Championship Round:

     1) Bronson Butcher, Muskogee, Oklahoma, 81.5 pts.

     2) No other qualified riders.
