"Give It Your Best Shot!!!"

Schedules Photography Contest

The Sulphur Springs Downtown Business Alliance is sponsoring a local Photography Contest and calling all  local photographers, both amateur and professional, to meet at Plain and Fancy Sandwich Shoppe, on Saturday, July 24th, at 9:00 a.m., and "give it their best shot!"

The contest idea arrived from the worldwide contest being sponsored on the same day, by Scott Kelby's "Worldwide Photo Walk." However, the Sulphur Springs contest will not be a part of the Third Annual Worldwide Photo Walk, as the local organization "missed" the deadline. "We can still have loads of fun and get everyone prepared for next year," advised members of the Downtown Business Alliance. "Our event is to bring photographers out and get them to thinking about taking photos of our city!"

 

 

 

A map will be provided and photographers will meet with other interested photographers, shooting many of the sites and people who will be in downtown Sulphur Springs. "You've got the Farmers Market, buildings, customers, and businesses in the downtown area, that will be great subjects for your photographs."

Photographers will be asked to have their photographs submitted by the deadline of midnight, July 26th. This will give everyone time to work their photographs taken on Saturday, July 24th and get them submitted by the deadline.

 

 

We'll be publishing the winning photos on Front Porch News Texas, following the award's ceremony, on July 31st.

We know all of you will want to "grab your camera" and "give it your best shot," while visiting with other photographers in the area!
