Pilot Club to Host
Annual Spring Brunch

by: Bobby McDonald

It's time to be thinking about attending the Annual Pilot Club Spring Brunch, that will be hosted in the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center, on Saturday, February 16, 2013. This year's event will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will feature Tammy Whitehurst, a Christian writer and speaker, delivering the message. She is the founder of Joy for the Journey, where she shares the gifts of laughter and encouragement, at churches, schools, conferences, and retreats.

You won't want to miss Tammy Whitehurst's presentation!

Meanwhile, the local Pilot Club will again host a silent auction of a number of nice items that have been donated by local businesses. And, once again the club will host a raffle for a beautiful, large outdoor grill.

Tickets for the brunch, which includes one raffle ticket for the grill are $20.00 and can be purchased from any Pilot Club member or by calling Monica Crouch at (903)439-7098 or Marilyn Holt (903)243-0979.

Funds raised at the annual Spring Brunch are used by the local Pilot Club to fund the projects in our community, among them the Alzheimers Suport Group and Alzheimer Walk, Brainminder Buddies, Can Help, sponsoring the Caregiver of the Year Award, the CASA Cookie Walk, Circle of Friends, Handicapable Rodeo, Hoops Dreams, Hospice at Memorial, Kids Safe Saturday, Meal-A-Day, Military Care Packages, Our Place Bash and Christmas Party, Shadow Ranch, Special Olympics, Teen Court, United Way, the Veterans Memorial, and the WIC Blanket Program.

Come out on Saturday, February 16, 2013 and support the Pilot Club and enjoy a very uplifting and meaningful morning, spent with friends!
