Passing of the gavel from Sherry Moore to Marilyn Holt
The Pilot Club of Sulphur Springs held their annual officer installation on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the home of Mark and Jennifer Hill. Twenty-two members and six guests attended the event.
The theme for the 2012-2013 officer installation was “Paint Sulphur Springs Pilot” with decorations of paint buckets covered with photos of prior Pilot Club service projects. Operations Division members coordinated and catered the event including a meal of King Ranch Chicken, salad, rolls, and dessert.
Outgoing President Sherry Moore presided over the meeting. President Sherry recognized past-presidents of the club and thanked them for their service. Pilot Club of SS Charter Members Deanna Landers and Janie Crump conducted the officer installation.
Incoming officers for the 2012-2013 year are President - Marilyn Holt; President-Elect - Brenda Monroe; Vice-President - Roberta Vanderburg; Secretary - Monica Crouch, Treasurer - Tina Phillips; Directors: Sherry Moore, Donna Gregory, and Linda Henton.
Division chairs appointed for 2012-2013 are: Fun-raising – Monica Crouch & Joy Wilson; Operations – Jana Williams & Debra Miller; Projects – Becky Potts & Kim Screws.
August 2012 will mark the 28th anniversary of the Pilot Club of Sulphur Springs.
The Pilot Club’s service focus is helping persons with brain-related disorders and disabilities through education, volunteerism and financial support.
