
Mt. Vernon Hosts Pineywood
Wine Festival

A beautiful Saturday was spent in neighboring Mt. Vernon, as folks from all across Northeast Texas made their way to the Pineywoods Wine Festival, held on the downtown square, in the shadows of the historic courthouse.
A part of the Pineywoods Wine Trail, wineries represented included: Crump Valley Vineyards, of Sulphur Springs; Enoch's Stomp Vineyard & Winery of Harleton; Fairhaven Vineyards of Hawkins; KE Bushman's Winery of Bullard; KE Cellars of Tyler; Kiepersol Estates Vineyards and Winery of Tyler; Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards of Pittsburg; Maydelle Country Wines of Rusk; The Miranda Lambert Red 55 Winery, Lindale; Red Road Vineyard and Winery of Naples; Savannah Winery of Canton; St. Rose Vineyard & Winery of Pittsburg; Sweet Dreams Winery of Palestine; Tara Vineyard and Winery of Athens; Texas Roads Winery of Canton; and Texas Vineyard & Smokehaus of Palestine.

Each of the wineries had samples of their wines for tasting and wines available for purchase to the public. Food vendors and other wine related products were also available.
