Local Dress Shop Joins
"Pink Ribbon" Campaign
by: Bobby McDonald
Have you noticed the windows as you drove by Lou Nell's Fashions in Sulphur Springs? What started as a "simple" project has exploded, as the staff at the store wanted to offer pink ribbons in honor of those who have fought or are fighting breast cancer, as a tribute to October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Well, soon customers were calling in requests and the "rest is history," as the store is covered in a "sea" of pink ribbons. Names of those who are a part of the fight are written on the ribbons and they are on display in the store's windows.
"Each of these ribbons represent someone who has fought the fight or is fighting the fight!" expressed one of the store's employees. "And, we continued to prepare them until we ran out of ribbon. This just goes to show the impact of this disease in our community and how many people are affected by it!"

The store did the tribute in honor of store employee Susie Jones who experienced her own fight with the disease and is a survivor, and to honor those who continue the fight!
Drop by the store for an impressive tribute to help fight this disease!
