March Continuing Education Classes
From PJC
Paris Junior College's Continuing Education Department has scheduled a variety of courses for the month of March, according to Dr. Charles George, Associate Dean of Workforce Training and Continuing Education. Unless otherwise noted, classes are held in the Bobby R. Walters Workforce Training Center on the north side of the PJC campus.
Parenting
The Kids Hurt Too seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 10. This seminar is designed to help parents understand the needs of their children throughout the process of divorce.
Computer
The Microsoft Excel Basic 2010 spreadsheet class will meet from 6-9 p.m., each Monday, March 19-April 9. This class is an introduction to electronic spreadsheets as well as analyzing data using formulas.
A Microsoft Word Intermediate 2010 class is scheduled from 1-4 p.m., each Monday, March 19-April 9. Students will learn advanced formatting techniques to enhance documents.
Welcome to the World of Computers will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon, each Monday and Wednesday, March 19 to April 9. This a computer class for beginners.
The Microsoft Word Essentials 2010 class will be held from 6-8 p.m., each Tuesday and Thursday, March 27 to April 5. This course is an introduction to word processing applications.

Digital Photography
A Digital Photography class will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon, each Tuesday and Thursday, March 20-27. This is an introductory course to digital imaging.
Driving
The Defensive Driving class meets from 6-9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, March 19-20. The class may be applied toward insurance discounts or, in some instances, for traffic ticket dismissal.
The Driver's Education class will be held Monday through Thursday, 4-6 p.m., March 19 through April 12.
Professional Truck Driver I and II is offered on a need basis. Call 903-782-0447 to schedule.

Health
The Basic Life Support (CPR) class will be offered three times during March to accommodate participants' schedules. The first class will meet from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 2. It will be repeated from 5:30-9 p.m. on March 5-6; and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 22.
The Basic Life Support (CPR) Recertification for Health Professionals will be held from 5:30-9:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 8. The American Heart Association certifies this course.
A Pharmacy Technician class will meet from 6-9:30 p.m., each Monday and Wednesday, March 5 through April 30. Call 1-877-216-7750, extension 145 to receive additional information.
Workforce Development
A Basic Gem Stone Faceting class will be offered from 4:30-7:30 p.m., each Monday and Wednesday, March 19 to April 16. This is a special topics class in jewelry making and watchmaking.

The Electrical: Electricians, Journeymen, Wiremen and Masters MCE for License Renewal will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 31.
