Offers Free Training For Businesses
From PJC
Paris Junior College and the Small Business Development Center can now offer businesses free training with grants from Texas Workforce Commission. Through the Skills for Small Business grant program, business owners and employees can apply for free tuition and fees for any PJC course, credit or non-credit (limited to $1,450 for new employees and $725 for existing employees). New employees include those employees hired within three months of TWC receiving the application. Businesses with 99 employees or less are eligible for this grant program. Through the Entrepreneurial Training Grant, business owners or persons interested in starting a new business can apply for free training through the Small Business Development Center to start a new business or expand/improve an existing business (limit of $500 per person). This grant will expire August 31, 2012 or when total funds are expended.
