A large crowd of interested voters attended the Chamber of Commerce Political Candidate Forum, Thursday night, in the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, hearing from local candidates seeking office in four contested races......the Hopkins County Constable race.....the Hopkins County Commissioner Precinct #3 race....the District Attorney's race....and the 8th Judicial District Judge race.
In making introductions, Meredith Caddell, CEO of the Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce asked those present to limit their questions to those pertaining to local interests and to refrain from questioning candidates about national and state issues that the candidates present couldn't really participate in making changes. Those in attendance provided questions for candidates and they were given opportunity to provide one-minute responses, following opening remarks.
