Local Conservative Political Rally Set
for Saturday, September 29 at Heritage Park
What may result in the largest local political rally in many years has been scheduled for Heritage Park in Sulphur Springs on Saturday evening, September 29 as a collaborative effort of the Hopkins County Republican Party and the Sulphur Springs Tea Party. Organizers are encouraging everyone to clear their schedules of conflicting events and to plan to participate in the effort to "end the Obamanation" … a reference to the current Presidential administration. Wisenbaker and Miller remind local voters and patriots that the future of this nation hangs in the balance and the election in November is the single most important election in many decades.
Hopkins County Republican Party Chairman Donnie Wisenbaker said, "This rally is going to be everyone's opportunity to actually "do" something to get our nation turned around. We can't afford 4 more years of the current President and his destructive policies. The victory begins here, in Hopkins County, as we rally in opposition, as we organize an effective effort, as we come together as Americans to force our government back to the Conservative principles which will insure our future freedom and success."

The rally will include remarks from many local conservative candidates and organizers, and will feature Dr. Stephan Broden, Dr. Lee Cary, and Robert Kecseg … all noted and quoted Constitutional conservative writers and speakers. In addition, the Heritage Park grounds will be filled with the live music of Texas State Senator Bob Deuell's band. Free hotdogs and ice cream will be served, and organizers encourage everyone to bring their lawn chairs for the 3-hour event which starts at 4 pm. Echoing the time-honored quotation that "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing," SS Tea Party Spokesperson Carol Miller said, "If we allow the destructive liberal policies of loss of personal freedom and total dependency on bigger and bigger socialist-style government to continue by not fighting NOW for a change in America's future course, then we will bring defeat upon ourselves through lack of action. We simply cannot let that happen, and this rally is the opening shot in the war to restore a conservative, truly-representative government that serves the people." Heritage Park is located at 416 N. Jackson Street (at Houston St.) just south of Farmer's Coop. Admission is free, and organizers urge the public to arrive early because parking spaces will probably be scarce due to the large crowd expected. Posters are being distributed in the local area, and more information will be available from:
