With thunderstorm warnings predicted throughout the Hopkins County area, during the upcoming weekend, it's imperative that everyone "heed the warnings." Imagine yourself awaken in the middle of the night with lightning striking right outside your window!

The following photos were submitted by Lori Gamblin Lee of the damage and destruction outside her bedroom that took place from a lightning strike, this morning at 2:00 a.m., near her home in Quitman, Arkansas, as a band of thunderstorms move through the area. "We heard it hit and jumped from the bed and the entire world was illuminated!" exclaimed Lori. "Then, when it got daylight we realized all of the damage and just how close it had come to hitting our house!"
