Looking for a great place to learn about the history of the horses that you've rode? Well, a trip to Amarillo's American Quarter Horse Museum and Hall of Fame, is a "must see" on your bucket list. The spacious museum is devoted to the unique and interesting development of the American Quarter Horse, from humble beginnings to the most celebrated horse breed in the world, with a variety of exhibits, devoted to the men, women, and horses that made history "come alive and helped settle the West!"

Housed in the museum are facts, photos, and memorabilia of the great horses that sired the famous bloodlines of the breed, and the men and women who helped to breed them, on the farms and ranches of Texas and the Southwest.

The museum offers the history of the versatility of the American Quarter Horse, a trait that has made the breed appeal to riders of all diciplines......from cutting, to racing, to reigning, to Western Pleasure, and beyond.
