Dairy Festival Queen's Dinner, Thursday Night

Queen Lindsey McCormack and her parents, Karen and Sput McCormack, welcome Pam Black to Thursday
night's Queen's Dinner, hosted at League Street Church of Christ.
Guests received a Hawaiian lei as they entered the fellowship hall of League Street Church of Christ, on Thursday night, and were greeted by Dairy Festival Queen Lindsey McCormack and her parents, Sput and Karen McCormack, at the annual Hopkins County Dairy Festival Queen's Dinner. The affair was attended by Dairy Festival Board Members, Dairy Festival Candidates and their parents, and a number of invited guests.
"It's just a way of showing our appreciation to all of those who have made my year as Dairy Festival Queen, so much fun," expressed reigning Queen, Lindsey McCormack. "It's truly been a special year and I look forward to sharing the Dairy Festival experience with these nine candidates this year. I've told them that the main thing is to have fun and enjoy all the many experiences that they'll encounter, such as milking a cow, riding in the parade, and meeting all the great people of Hopkins County!"
The McCormack Family used the "Moo-au" Theme of this year's festival in a host of decorations, including a pair of dancing cows with grass skirts, and served a Hawaiian themed meal of chicken, tomato, and pepper shish-kabobs, pineapple infused rice, and almond green beans. Desserts included a lava volcano chocolate cake, fresh fruit toppings, and of course, ice cream served in fruit cups!
Dairy Festival Queen candidates were introduced, along with their parents, and a wonderful and relaxed evening of visiting was enjoyed by all, as everyone became acquainted before the many activities of the Hopkins County Dairy Festival begins with the Hot Aire Balloons arriving on Friday, June 8th!
