Using a theme of "Moo-sic of the Night," Hopkins County Dairy Festival Queen Sarah Yosten and her family hosted the annual Queen's Dinner, at Holiday Inn Express, on Friday night, at 6:30 p.m. The guest list included Dairy Festival Queen Candidates and their parents, Dairy Festival Board Members, Media, supporters, and their friends. Ricky Godwin, Sarah's step-father, welcomed guests and invited them to enter the buffet line, for the evening. The meal was catered by Judy's Kitchen and featured a delicious menu that included real dairy products.

Kelsey Brown provided dinner music and then sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," when everyone had completed their meal.

Yosten introduced each of the nine candidates who are vying for the 2008 title and presented them with a gift. "I'm just so excited that each of you have decided to seek the crown of Dairy Festival Queen. It will be a year you will never, ever forget," admonished Yosten. "And, the lucky girl who wins this year's crown will be presiding over the 50th Anniversary Dairy Festival!"
Queen Sarah made this little boy happy as she took time from her busy schedule on Friday night, to
answer a few questions.

Cindy Lancaster and Patricia Chase, members of the Dairy Festival Board of Directors, presented Sarah and each one of the contestants their official Dairy Festival t-shirt, that will be worn to many of the events. Parents of the candidates were encouraged to help with the upcoming hot air balloons, as they arrive in town on Friday, June 13th, to officially "kick off" a week of exciting times, in tribute to the multi-million dollar Hopkins County dairy industry.
