Hosts Open House, Wednesday
by: Bobby McDonald
Wednesday, Billie Ruth Standbridge and her staff threw open the "welcome mat" to host an open house at Main Street Pocket Shop, with entertainment, refreshments, and a display of an array of unique items offered by the shop. Several local women were looking through the offering for vintage gowns that might work for the Lights of Life Gala, that will be themed "Vintage Hollywood."
"I just love the unique items that are featured in Main Street Pocket Shop," expressed one of the shoppers. "These are items that you won't see on someone else, once you make a selection, as they're unique and very stylish!"

Standbridge welcomed guests, provided a wine tasting, and other refreshments and an overview of the business, as well as the vision for the unique shop, on Main Street in Sulphur Springs. "We look forward to serving everyone and offering a unique shopping experience," expressed Standbridge. "We invite everyone to come visit and see what all we have to offer."

Blues artist, Pitty Pat Guidry, provided outstanding entertainment throughout the event. "I could sit here and listen to him all afternoon!" exclaimed several of those in attendance, as they enjoyed the musical selections.
