Rotary Club "Spreads Christmas Cheer"
at Thursday Noon Meeting

The Sulphur Springs Rotary Club continued to spread Christmas Cheer in the community, at their noon meeting on Thursday, held at First United Methodist Church. Rotary Club President, Kayla Price, announced that they had a number of gifts that were being donated to the Blue Santa Program and called on Mike Morgan to come forward and accept the gifts.

Morgan told Rotary Club members that the program had experienced a successful year with collections of over $30,000.00 for local children, besides all of the toys that had been donated.

Next, Price announced to her membership that the club had received a $6,125.00 District Rotary Grant for their "Back-Pack Buddies" program. However, the "catch" to the program was that they had to match the funds "dollar for dollar." Well, that's when City National Bank and Alliance Bank "stepped up to the plate" and each donated $2000.00 to the club to help with receiving the grant. Representatives, Ruth Ann Crowson, from Alliance Bank, and David Fentner and John Sellers from City National, made the presentations to Price, on behalf of their banks.

Congratulations to the Sulphur Springs Rotary Club for making such a successful and positive impact on our community with both of these outstanding programs that help the children in need in our community!

Merry Christmas From
The Rotary Club!!!!
