These individuals were recognized for their volunteer efforts at Tuesday night's RSVP Banquet.

Annual RSVP Banquet

It was a night of fellowship, entertainment, and a delicious BBQ meal, as local senior members were recognized at the Annual RSVP Banquet, hosted at the activity building of the New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church.

Ken Hanushek provided music for the night, as the entertainment and Andy and Mary Lou Wright catered the delicious meal. RSVP is to recognize individuals and organizations among the senior community for the their untiring efforts at helping others.

In presenting the awards, Karon Weatherman, Senior Center Director, stated, "We have so many of you that volunteer tirelessly, that it is very, very difficult to select someone for our awards!"

However, it was Ed Bayse that was selected for the Volunteer of the Year Award for his many, many hours of volunteerism.

"You're certainly familiar with the efforts of this station," exclaimed Weatherman, as she asked members of the Terrific Tuesday's Alzheimer Outreach Program to make their way to the front. They were named Station of the Year for 2012.
