Saltillo Lions Take Area Championship
With Win Over Goodrich, Friday Night

The Saltillo Lions advanced to the Area Round and "met-up" with Goodrich, on Friday night, February 24th, at Jacksonville College. The Lions trailed following the first quarter of play 15-10, but outscored Goodrich, but one-point, in the second quarter to trail by only four points at the halftime intermisison. An explosive third and fourth quarter, where the Lions added
an impressive 37 points, put Saltillo over the top for the Area Championship. The Lions will play #4 ranked Douglass, on Tuesday night, in Wagstaff Gym, in Tyler, Game time is 6:30 p.m.
