Win Regionals Saturday

The Saltillo Lions Cross Country Team won the Regional III Cross Country Championship in Humble, Texas, on Saturday, with a number of the team members advancing to the state competition.

 

 

 

 

The team accumulated the most points in the region and individual results will place team members in the state competition.

 

REGION III 1A BOYS CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONS---SALTILLO 48

RUNNER-UP---MILLER GROVE 61

THIRD---BLAND 84

"Our runners ran with confidence and determination. They wanted the Regional Meet to be their best run of the year," stated Coach Bill Giles. "To have 6 runners in the top 22 at the Regional Meet is really impressive. I am extremely proud of our young men. I also want to congratulate Miller Grove on their performance. They have an outstanding program!"
