Completing a year of hard work and dedication in a number of agricultural fields, the Saltillo FFA named top students in project areas and celebrated a very successful year at their annual FFA Banquet. Marc Boekhorst was named Star Greenhand of the Chapter (a first year student); Chanda Neal was named the Star Chapter Farmer; and Tyler Floyd was named the Star Ag Mechanics student for the year.

Scholarship winners included: Charles Stretcher Young Farmer Scholarship winners Johnny Glasco $1000 & Erika Mobley $500 and Johnny Glasco was also named the Charles Stretcher Young Farmer Award & Erika the R.B. McAfee Scholarship $250.

Greenhand Degrees were awarded to Marc Boekhorst, Cade Daniel, Jaime Edward, & James Stretcher;  and Chapter Farmer Degrees were awarded to: Tucker Johnson, Geoffery Holter, Justin Barnett & Connor Moss.

 

In a special recognition, a Special Award was presented to Gene Barnett President of the Chapter 1948-1949, as he had the First FFA Jacket from Saltillo School, and he could actually still wear it!!!

 

 

 

Named as Honorary Chapter Famer, was Cliff Neal, for his support and devotion to the Saltillo FFA Chapter.
