Lady Bears

The Lady Bears had to claw their way to thier 6th straight district win. Down by 6 at halftime and down by 12 early in the 3rd quarter the Lady Bears put together a 15 to 2 run late in the 3rd quarter to take the lead for the first time on the night. In the 4th, the Bears almost let a 5 point lead slip away but made a late free throw by Mikayla Potts to put the Bears back up by 2 with under a second on the game clock. "Tonight was not our best start but ended up as a hard fought battle. A game like this only makes our team stronger. We all played together tonight and picked each other up when we stroggled. When you can do that and find away to come from 12 points down and hang on to the lead in the 4th quarter, it only makes us a better ball club and it shows what hard work will do for you." said Coach Toon.

Mikayla Potts lead the Bears with 22 points while Kaitlyn Hancock had 13 points and 11 rebounds for her 2nd double-double in a row. Becca Naylor made some big baskets late to finish with 12 points on the night. While Katelyn Brown score 7 and Jamie Goldsmith finished with 4.
