Sulphur Bluff Bears
Take Victory Over Quinlan Boles
From Coach Marshall Moore
Sulphur Bluff 17 18 17 13 65
Boles 16 15 12 19 62
"Our victory over Quinlan Boles was a team victory, but our guards helped us pull through a rough night at the foul line, to pull this game out!" expressed Coach Moore. "Some things that many times go unnoticed in the stat book are how many times guards get into the lane off the drive. Our guards did an exceptional job ot attacking the basket and setting teammates up for easy buckets."
"When you miss 15 free throws and still walk away with a victory, you know that your defense stepped up big and and played a major role in the victory," continued Moore. "Starting point guard, Collin Williams, played a solid game on both ends and ended the game with double-digit assists and most of them went to our post Justin Goldsmith, who ended the game with a game high 23 points. Blake Brown scoring 11 of his 15 points in the 2nd quarter gave us plenty of confidence into halftime, to come out and finish the game in the second half. The most impressive thing our team did as a whole was rebounding and blocking out. We are an undersized team and they showed that blocking out takes away an height advantage of the other team!"
Team Scoring:
Justin Goldsmith - 23
Blake Brown - 15
Collin Williams - 12, 10 assists
Tyler Raine - 8
Landon Dorner - 7
Dakota Emerson -4
Congratulations, Bears!!!!
