

Johnson Wins Senior Center Raffle

Friday, May 11th at noon the winning raffle name was drawn for the Amethyst and Quartz Crystal Necklace. The winner was Pamela Johnson. Pamela is a Meal A Day Volunteer, Cook and Driver. Pamela said, "I was just trying to help out the Senior Citizens Center and buy some raffle tickets." She was very surprised and happy that she won. Pamela also said, "I never win anything!" She plans to give the necklace to her sister as a gift. Congrats Pamela.

A BIG "Thank You" to Barbara Ann Boudreau, AJP of Panama City Florida who made and donated the necklace to the Senior Citizen Center. Barbara Ann Boudreau is the daughter of Senior Citizen Volunteer, Glenna Durr. Barbara made and donated two necklaces last year. The first necklace was raffled off and won by Joni Hughes in November. Joni had her choice of which of the two necklaces she wanted. She chose the beautiful Aquamarine necklace.
All of the proceeds from the first raffle went to the Meal A Day Program. The proceeds from the second necklace went to the Senior Citizens Center to help purchase items for the Senior Citizens Prom which will be held in July.
