Members of the SSHS Key Club hosted their annual "Special Games Day" for the mentally and physically challenged youth in the area, on Friday. With members of the club assisting the youth in a number of games, providing lunch, and aiding in the fun, it was truly a "special" day at SSHS.

"It's really our day to count our many, many blessings, and make a day brighter for someone who has challenges!" expressed on of the sponsoring Key Club members. "We have the opportunity to give to these youth and make a fun day for them, that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to complete!"

"It's a great day to visit, encourage, and get to know these kids, that are really the true heroes!" expressed Wildcat Quarterback, Justin Owens. "These youth face challenges beyond anything that we face, just to get up and come to school each day!"

The youth received a performance and visit by the Blue Blazes Drill Team members and the Wildcat Band, and were led in cheers by the SSHS Cheerleaders.

"It's truly been a great day for everyone!" expressed Key Club members and sponsors. "To see the smiles on the faces of these youth, truly made our day!"
