SSHS Wildcat Band
Earns First Division Ratings
at Regional Marching Contest, Tuesday
From Charles McCauley

The Sulphur Springs High School Wildcat Band earned First Division ratings yesterday at the Region IV UIL Marching Contest in Mt. Pleasant. The band received a First Division from all three judges at the contest.

This year's show, "Chaplin", earned high praise from the judges for its artistic content and emotional connection with the audience. Charles McCauley, Director of Bands for SSISD, gave credit to his students and staff for the production.

"Jennifer Turner, one of our middle school directors and our colorguard instructor, came up with the concept for the show. She did a great job, wrote great drill and did a great job of coming up with some great special effects," stated McCauley. "Kiante Clayton was a great Charlie Chaplin and the soloists all did a super job!"

Soloists were: Rachel Mattison on clarinet, Lucas Sapaugh on trumpet, Macie McIllwain on trumpet, Ashley Neville on flute and Molly Ginn on violin.

Congratulations Wildcat Band!!!
