Prickette Named to Vacant
Position on SSISD Board
At a special board meeting today, the Sulphur Springs ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to appoint John Prickette to fill the seat recently vacated by Foy Williams. Williams’ resigned his position due to health reasons.
John Prickette is employed by Grocery Supply Company and previously served as the Economic Development Corporation Executive Vice President here in Sulphur Springs. Prickette served as co-chair of the Citizens Committee in support of the bond proposal that was approved by voters in 2009. He has also been instrumental in developing the SOCKS (Support Our Campuses & Kids) adopt-a-school program.
Prickette is married to Gena Watson Prickette and they have one daughter, Caroline.
