A regular meeting of the Sulphur Springs ISD school board was held Monday, November 12, 2012.

No one requested to address the Board.
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS
Judy Tipping reported that SSISD staff gave $10,168.85 to the United Way campaign.
Randy Reed reported that SSISD has 100% highly qualified staff in re: to No Child Left Behind requirements.
Head Start director’s reports for August-September, policy council minutes for September-October, and copies of the latest monitoring review were given to the Board for informational purposes.
Michael Lamb presented proposed revisions to school board policies EI(LOCAL) and EIC(LOCAL).

ACTION ITEMS
Along with routine matters, the board approved the following:
Head Start Policy Council Bylaws, Head Start Personnel Policy Summary, Head Start Priority Screening Instrument, Head Start Self-Assessment Summary & Program Improvement Plan and Head Start 2012-13 Community Assessment.
Resolution 7-12 electing James Litzler as a representative to the Hopkins County Tax Appraisal District Board of Directors for the term beginning January 1, 2013 and ending on December 31, 2014.
Tammy Cooper was nominated to serve as the school board representative of the Head Start Policy Council for the 2012-2013 school year.
Contractual agreement between the Sulphur Springs Country Club and SSISD for the 2012-13 school year.
Request for Maximum Class Size Waiver Exception from TEA for Travis Primary and Sulphur Springs Elementary.
2012-2013 Campus Improvement Plans
Heath Anderson to replace Brian Brewer on the School Health Advisory Committee for 2012-13.
TASB Localized Policy Manual Update 95.
Revisions to school board policies EI(LOCAL) and EIC(LOCAL) as presented by Mr. Lamb.
