filling the unexpired term of Foy Williams.

A regular meeting of the Sulphur Springs ISD school board was held on Monday, February 13, 2012.

Public Forum

No one requested to address the Board during Public Forum.

Administrative Reports:

Richard Crump gave an update on construction projects. Copies of the updates will be placed on the school district's website.

Dan Almond updated the Board on Sulphur Springs ISD Unlimited Tax Refunding Bonds, Series 2012.

Texas Public Schools Week was announced as March 5-9, 2012.

School Board Election date was announced as May 12, 2012. Candidates filing dates are February 6, 2012 through March 8, 2012.

The Board discussed ideas for increasing seating at Prim Stadium.

Along with routine matters, the following were approved:

 

Resolution 1-12 designating March 5-9, 2012 as Texas Public Schools Week in SSISD.

Order of Election to call trustee election for Saturday, May 12, 2012.

Appointment of Patty Morgan as election judge and Cecile Bagwell as alternate election judge for the May 12, 2012 school board election.

Textbook Committee's recommendation for on-line instruction materials in the area of Supplemental Science for grades 5-12.

Texas Education Agency waiver application for 3 staff development days and 3 early release days.

TASB Localized Policy Manual Update 92.
