A special meeting/budget work session of the Sulphur Springs ISD school board was held on Monday, July 25, 2011.

 

PUBLIC FORUM

 

No one requested to address the Board during the Public Forum portion of the meeting.

 

BUDGET WORK SESSION

 

The first draft of the 2011-2012 budget was presented to board members for their review.  Following a time of questions and discussion, it was noted that the next draft of the budget will be presented at the regular August 8 board meeting/budget work session.

 

 

 

ACTION ITEMS

 

The board approved Texas Education Agency Application for Expedited and General State Waivers: Foreign Exchange Student Waiver to limit the number of foreign exchange students enrolled at Sulphur Springs High School to three per year.  The waiver will be effective through the 2013-2014 school year.
